We are currently seeking a full-time SeniorElectrical Controls Engineer with direct experience in control system and automation design, to work on a variety of industrial, mining, municipal and other projects.

With a keen awareness of scope, schedule and budget, the qualified candidate will provide excellence in the design of electrical controls and automation systems and integrate these designs to deliver a combined package. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of superior customer service and client loyalty. We are looking for someone who enjoys working smart and hard in highly collaborative teams, with a proven record of getting results.

This position will report to the Automation Group Lead and will be based in our Spokane or Coeur d'Alene office.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (B. S.) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.

5+ years’ work-related experience in the following areas:

  • Industrial Automation and Control Systems
  • PLC/PAC/RTU Automation Solutions
  • HMI/SCADA development
  • Historian
  • Wired and Wireless Industrial Communication Design
  • Instrumentation
  • Decision Support Systems
Highly Desired Skills:
  • Custom Report Development
  • P&ID, control system wiring diagram and schematic development
  • Testing Procedure Development
  • Manufacturing Execution Systems
  • Machine Safety
  • Motion Control

Knowledge and use of Software:
  • PLC or DCS programming software

Working Environment

Job requires regional and international travel up to 25% of the time.  In-office work is performed in a general office setting with good ventilation, adequate light and moderate noise level with a minimum of physical exertion required.  

Work at client sites may take place in an industrial setting where employees may be exposed to moving equipment and parts, dusty work areas. A moderate amount of physical exertion may be required, such as extensive walking, climbing under equipment and up ladders.  Noise levels can at times be loud.  Employees are required to attend appropriate safety training and wear appropriate personal protective equipment and clothing in such environments.
